The first "Burma" Internees of WW11

The following photograph was sent to us by his son, who adds 
"...  according to him he was taken to some prison in Thailand and was transferred to various prisons in Burma during the war.  
​He had some horrible experiences during captivity which he would reluctantly relate to us when asked."
