BeckettW.N., Capt.(Was with the Flotilla at the 3rd Anglo-Burmese War. ) Years later (after 1885) he Commanded main-line steamers and was noted for always firing a brass cannon on his arrival at Prome and Mandalay.  He was the first Commander of the P.S. Dufferin.  Beckett's Bluff (at the village of Thapanzeik above Magwe) is said to have been named after him as he is supposed to have parted a flat there in 18 ft. of water.  It is said that when searchlights were first introduced he used to anchor his ship by day and run all night.

Clasin Capt. Clausen or Klassen - Was in command of S.W.S. Kahbyoo when she was trapped in the big whirlpool on the left bank of the Middle Defile in 1882 (or 1888.)  It is said that she went round and round for three days and nights and that when she ultimately got clear the Captain's hair had turned white!
Cooper J.J., Capt.Appointed Marine Supdt. in 1890, he was previously Master & Officer in the Sierra Line, (sailing ships.)  He was the Commander who presented the ultimatium to King Theebaw and received the answer from the Kinwun Maingyi whilst in the Command of the P.S. Ashley Eden.  Later he commanded the 3 decker, P.S. Thooreah which was lost at Minbu through striking an unmarked rock in 1886.  He retired in 1907.

de la TasteJ., Capt.Listed as a Commander in 1890-1900.   Commanded the P.S. Japan when she carried the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1906.  He afterwards left the Comapny and joined the B.R.T. Co. as Marine Supdt.  About 1914-15 he was temporarily Port Officer at Rangoon.

EastwoodJ., Capt.Listed as a Commander in 1890-1900.  Sometime Agent at Myinmu in the early 90's when a survey was made with a view to the I.F.C. building and operating a light railway between Myinmu and Monywa.
FentonR., Capt.(Was with the Flotilla at the 3rd Anglo-Burmese War.)  Took his ship the Thooreah out to sea via Shwelaung River and along the coast to the entrance of the Hlaing River and then took a Pilot at China Bakir, he retired in 1902.  (Capt. Chubb had the log records but some were destroyed during air raids on Liverpool, England in 1940 and the remainder were lost in the P.S. Siam in 1942.)

Lahore when she was lost at Kyaukchet below Sinbaungwe.  He was also in command of Thooreah when the King and Queen of Burma were brought from Mandalay to Rangoon as prisoners and is said to have put in a bill for Rs.10,000 for food for their Majesty's.

Reid John, Capt.Marine Supdt. 1938-1942.  Served in Indian Army in various ranks whilst Burma was in the hands of the Japanese, returning as Lt.-Col. I.W.T. when it was re-taken and on the restoration of Civil Authority (1946) he again became Marine Superintendent until the Flotilla's final liquidation.

ScrymgerH.Succeeded Robert Barr as Fleet Engr. 19xx-1935.
SevenoaksCapt.Joined the I.F.C. in 1864 from the Indian Navy with the steamer Lord William Bentick.  There is a rocky channel on the left bank of the Irrawaddy, 9 miles above Thayetmyo called Sevenoaks Channel named after him.  Later he became the Company's Agent at Prome.
SharpeJ., Capt.In Command of the Mail Steamer Assam in 1919, with Capt. Turndrup as Commodore in the Nepaul.
Sinclair R.Manager, 1920-1927
SomervilleH., Capt.(Was with the Flotilla at the 3rd Anglo-Burmese War.) Commanded the P.S. Prome when new in 1904.  After leaving the Flotilla he is said to have Commanded a Mersey Ferry Steamer.  He is buried in Rake Cemetery, Wallasey.

ThompsonR.D., Capt.Listed as a Commander in 1890-1900, who should not be confused with the earlier Thompson, commanded P.S. Daga.  He retired in 1908 to the U.S.A.

TindalJ., Capt.In Command of the Mail Steamer India in 1919, with Capt. Turndrup as Commodore in the Nepaul.
TollerCapt. Listed as  Commander in 1880-1 
TurndrupCapt.No accurate information is available but Capt. Chubb sailed under him in the P.S. Nepaul in 1919 and from their conversations it would appear that Terndrup came out East in a sailing ship.  As a boy of fifteen he remembered the Prussians invading Schleswig Holstein where he was working on his father's farm.  Soon afterwards he joined a Danish ship which he deserted in Ragoon, where he joined the Flotilla.  He brought the Europeans out of Bhamo when the Chinese invaded Burma from Yunnan.  In the war of 1885 he commanded the Kah Byoo.**  In 1919 he had been Commodore of the Flotilla for some time, when he finally retired he was well over 70 years old.  It was after this that the Flotilla bought in a retirement age of 55 and also stated the Provident Fund.
VinceCharles, Capt.Commander of P.S. Yankeentoun and appointed as the first Marine Superintendent in 1886-1890.
VivianCapt.Joined the I.F.C. in 1896, his first command being T.S.S. Ngawoon.  In 1902 he became Rock Pilot at Nazoon and he was Supdt. of Pilots from 1909 until his death on baord the P. & O. T.S.S. Morea at Suez in 1927.

WattsH.A., Capt.Listed as a Commander in 1919-1930.  In Command of the Java, in 1942. He was transfered to the Mindoon (which he had Commanded previously) for the final passage of this ship.
