Mrs Childers was the wife of Lt.-Col. H.F.E. Childers, C.I.E. who died at Pyawbwe, Yamethin Dist. in Oct. 1941. Remaining in Burma when
the Japanese invaded, she was interned and released when the Japanese were driven out, she retired to Kalaw where she stayed until her death. |
