This register book is kept at St Anthony's Meiktila. It is unfortunate that the priests in this archdiocese (Mandalay) are shuffled around approximately every five years, as it seems there is no other reason why this book should be at Meiktila unless it had been loaded onto some poor shufflee's truck bringing his belongings. No baptism or burial registers from Myintgyan are to be found in Meiktila.

From around 1926 the signatures of the parties and witnesses start to appear in the book.

It has been reported to us that the Christian cemetery at Myingyan is in good condition, but the ferries from Mandalay can no longer stop here because of a build up of silt. This may change, in the meantime the alternatives are either train, bus or taxi from Mandalay.
