Another cemetery which has been removed, fortunately there is a memorial plaque with many names of those who were interred there.
More details will follow asap.

Picture
We have visited this cemetery twice now (also an ABL member at our request) and although it gets a clean up every year there is not much left of the graves or headstones.
As we discover more it will be added to this page.

Picture
Unfortunately the cemetery here has also been destroyed.

Picture
A well cared for cemetery, kept neat and tidy but may possibly have to be moved to  make way for "progress."

Picture
Another sad story, a few headstones have been rescued and preserved in the main cemetery.
Picture
Maymyo "European" RC Registers - transcriptions.  Photographs of gravestones, a few others are available at Chris Harrison's Pyin Oo Lwin site.

Picture
Meiktila RC Registers of baptisms and marriages.

Picture
No registers yet, but we know that the RC records have survived.
Photographs and map of the town cemeteries.
A single combined list of known inhabitants with links to directories etc.

details to follow

Picture
The usual sad story applies, the inscriptions we have were donated to us, more are welcome.

Picture
Yeway is now the main Christian cemetery, many of the colonial-era headstones were relocated here in a memorial garden type situation,
we have photos taken within the last few years but updates are always welcome.

Picture
No information on the town itself yet, the RC church is still going strong and by the look of the cemetery all the occupants are RC.
The satellite map seems to show another cemetery a little further away from the road, but this may be an optical illusion.

Picture
Very little remains of the old town, but the satellite map still shows the distinct outline of the cantonment.

Picture
We believe this town would repay some time and exploration. The area around the RC church has an olden-time feel about it.
If anyone lived here it would be great to identify some landmarks.
Plenty of Liverpool fans here and although the cafe's near the bus stops are very busy, they will all gather round to learn some English.
