Arthur Lyons, Clerk, Burma Secretariat, is appointed to be a Myook, 1st grade.
R.C. Stevenson, Asst. Commissioner is placed in charge of the Pakokku sub-divn. of the Pagan Dist. in additional to the charge of the Pakhangyi sub-divn. of the Myingyan District.
Lt. Browning is transferred from Pakokku to special duty in the Sagaing, Kyaukse and Myingyan Districts.
Arthur Lyons, who has been appointed a Myook, is posted to the charge of the Northern Township of the Tavoy Dist. vice Maung Paw, deceased.
N.K. Fraser, Extra Asst. Commissioner, is placed in charge of the Myingyan sub-divn. of the Myingyan District.

On return from privilege leave of W.T. Morrison, H.S. Hartnoll, is transferred from Lower Chindwin to Minbu and appointed to officiate as Deputy Commissioner of the Minbu District.
G.L. Weidemann, Deputy Commissioner is transferred from Minbu to the charge of the Prome District.

H. Luckstedt, Executive Engr. 3rd grade, took over charge of the 1st Divn. of the Toungoo-Mandalay Extension, Burma State Railways, from J.M. Salmond, Executive Engr. 3rd grade, on the afternoon of the 16th Apr. 1888.

The Chief Commissioner specially empowers J.F. Pereira, Myook, 3rd grade, a Magistrate of the 1st class, to exercise the powers conferred by section 110 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1882.

M. Birkbeck, Executive Engr. 2nd grade reported his return on the afternoon of the 10th May 1888 from the one year’s leave on medical certificate granted him in Burma Public Works Dept. notification no. 56 dated 12th Apr. 1887, Mr Birkbeck’s services are placed at the disposal of the Special Superintending Engr., Upper Burma.

The Govt. of India having sanctioned the amalgamation of the Public Works Depts. of Upper and Lower Burma under the control of Lt.-Col. W.G. Major T. Gracey, special Superintending Engineer and Secretary to the Chief Commissioner, Public Works Dept., Upper Burma, handed over charge of the Public Works Dept.in that portion of the province to Lt.-Col. W.G. Cumming, R.E., Chief Engineer and Secretary, on the afternoon of this date.
Major T. Gracey, R.E., special Superintending Engineer, Upper Burma, is granted furlough to Europe to the 15th Nov. 1889, together with the usual subsidiary leave, with effect from such date as he may avail himself of the same.
James Wallace, Asst. Engineer, 1st grade, Bhamo Divn., is granted furlough to Europe for 15 months, together with the usual subsidiary leave which he availed himself of on the afternoon of the 7th June 1888.
