G. Blake is appointed to be a Myook, 4th grade, on probation and is posted to the headquarters of the Henzada District.
Maung Du Wun, Head Judicial Clerk in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kyaukse, is appointed to be a Myook, 5th grade and is posted to the charge of the Kyaukse opium station.

With reference to Gazette of India Public Works Dept. Notification no. 267, dated 20th Sept. 1888, Lt. J.E. Capper, R.E., Asst. Engineer, 1st grade, reported his arrival at Rangoon on the forenoon of 29th Oct. 1888 and is posted to the Third Circle of Superintendence for employment as Personal Asst. to the Superintending Engineer.

Whereas it appears to the Chief Commissioner of Burma that land is required to be taken up by Government for a public purpose, namely, for the construction of a line of railway to connect the Kemmendine railway station with the line running along the Strand bank in the town of Rangoon and the suburb of Kemmendine, it is hereby declared that for the above purpose the land specified below is required in the vicinity of Rangoon:
